Our Ministries and Outreach:

Music:

A very important part of our church is the music ministry under the direction of Joan Miller. We have a Hand-bell Choir, a dedicated Chancel Choir, and special music offerings throughout the year. If your interests lie in this area you are welcome to participate. Area Participation: Local area ministries are an important part of First Congregational as well. Our pastor and members are active in a number of organizations: including Broomfield FISH, Habitat for Humanity, and C.R.O.P.

Active Groups at First Congregational:

Christian Clown Posse (C.C.P.)

This is an active group of women who like to "clown around." As you can see from the picture, they really are clowns, and their love of people and their love of the Lord takes them to numerous places around the area each month. Most recently, they entertained walkers at the annual C.R.O.P. Walk in Broomfield and in September they were in Ft. Lupton at the Trappers Day Parade. Hardly a weekend goes by without the C.C.P. performing somewhere, including most of the senior retirement centers. The Head Clown is Pam Salmans, and if this ministry interests you, please call the church and leave a message for her.

F.A.N.G.S.

This is our adult fellowship group, and there are a number of social activities headed up by this group. Recent trips were to the I-Max Theater in Denver and a trip to the Dinner Playhouse at Heritage Square in Golden. You do not have to be a "couple" to participate, singles are always welcome! General Social Activities: First Congregational has been very busy this past year. Activities in the past twelve months include the All-Church Fellowship, attendance at the movie "Passion of the Christ," a Rockies baseball game, a Sunday Brunch at the Cody INN on Lookout Mountain Road, and a number of potluck meals. The second Sunday of the month is designated Fellowship Sunday, a time of food and fellowship held immediately after the service. All birthdays during that particular month are recognized as well.

Facilities Use:

Getting Married? Here's good news: First Congregational Church of Eastlake might just be the "perfect wedding church" if you are inviting less than 150 guests to your wedding. It's a classic white structure that reminds you of the church you attended as a child. Additionally, the center aisle, altar, and stained glass window make for the perfect wedding setting. We also have a reception hall available for weddings and the charges for weddings and/or receptions at First Congregational are extremely reasonable when compared to other facilities in the North Denver area. Call us for a guided tour!
